JAMMU, Nov 9: A thrilling cricket tournament was organized by Jammu Division of Northern Railway at the Jammu University grounds, here today, showcasing the talent and competitive spirit of railway staff. The one-day match featured two departments: Operations, led by Senior Divisional Operations Manager Arish Bansal and Commercial, captained by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal.
Batting first, the Operations team posted 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs, with Arish Bansal contributing 35 runs. In a strong response, the Commercial team chased the target successfully, scoring 112 runs, thanks to an unbeaten 50-run knock by Uchit Singhal, who played a pivotal role in securing victory.
Expressing enthusiasm about the tournament, Singhal highlighted that such events provide employees an opportunity to showcase their sporting skills and foster teamwork. He assured that similar cricket matches would continue to be organized across the division, promoting sports and camaraderie among staff.
