Northern Command Teachers Training Workshop concludes

AKHNOOR, June 7: Northern Command organized two days workshop for teachers, wherein the participating schools included APS Srinagar, APS Udhampur, APS Dhar Road, APS Nagrota, APS Rakhmuthi and APS Akhnoor.
Army Public School, Akhnoor conducted two days workshop on subject ‘Communicating to Motivate Students’ under Northern Command jurisdiction.
The Workshop commenced with the inaugural address by Chairman Brig Gautam Segan. He declared the workshop open and gave his best wishes to all Teachers of various Army Schools of Northern Command.
The resource person, Dr Sarita Sood, a psychologist accentuated on NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programme) shared her expertise on varied activities for developing visual, auditory and kinesthetic aspects of children.
The Workshop involved presentations and thought provoking activities for refreshing the teaching learning process.  An interactive session was carried out by Principal of APS Akhnoor, KCS Mehta, wherein he addressed his views and thoughts on aggrandizing motivational level of children.
While sharing many inspirational stories, Dheeraj Sharma, MD DCM Public School, emphasized on the role of teachers in understanding the mental capabilities of children.
The second day started with the presentation of Talitha Philip, Counsellor APS Akhnoor. She emphasized on the role of teachers to motivate students by communicating with them accordingly.  The second presentation was given by Suresh Kumar Koul. His interactive presentation involved all participants to give their views and share their experiences.
The programme was compared by Meenakshi Sharma, Jr Coordinator and Anjali Sharma, while the vote of thanks was presented by Rakesh Chander, Vice Principal of School. The certificates and mementoes were presented by Principal, and Vice Principal and Jr Coordinator. Patron of the school, Maj Gen MK Mago, has sent his best wishes for the workshop and advise to the teachers to work for welfare of the students and guide them to do well in their studies and get placed in best professional colleges.
