PATIALA, July 20: North Zone Softball men and women teams won finals of the ongoing Inter Zonal Softball Championship, being held at Punjabi University, here.
Earlier, the men’s team defeated the rival teams under the Captanship of Harsimrat Singh, while Rohit Jamwal was the coach of the team.
North Zone Softball team won match from East Zone team by 7-0 in 5 innings match and won from West Zone by 8-0. Arun, Ajay, Jasbir, Ayush and Vikram, were the star performers from North side.
North Zone defeated South Zone by 9-0 in the finals.
In women’s section, North Zone defeated West Zone by 9-0., while in the finals North Zone thrashed South Zone by 16-1.
