UDHAMPUR, Feb 9: ‘NITL’ Higher Secondary School, Udhampur celebrated its 28th Annual Sports Day with great zest and zeal in which Chander Mukhi Gupta, Chairperson was the chief guest.
This programme was organized by the management of the school to encourage the girls in all walks of the life.
In this two days sports event 270 students participated in which 123 were the girls. Various sports events namely Sprint Race, Sack Race, Three Legged Race, Relay Race, Obstacle Race, Lemon Race and Shot Put were conducted during two days sports event.
There was a neck to neck competition among the budding sportspersons.
The proceeding of events was carried out by Monika Sharma (PEM).
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Ajay Gupta said that the main objective of organizing these sports events is based on the theme “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”.
At the time of valediction all winners were felicitated for their achievements in different activities by the guests.
At the end vote of thanks was presented by the Anamika Gupta school coordinator followed by the “National Anthem”.
The prominent citizens who witnessed this function included Nirmal Kumari, Shahnaz Akhter, Krishma Mahajan, Anita Bajal, Jyoti Gupta, Meenakshi, Kanakshi, Dipshi, Nisha Bajal, Zareena, Renu , Madhu Dogra, Abhishek, Pooja, Aadil and Anu Radha.
