JAMMU, Nov 27: Nikhil Sharma and Megha Sharma bagged ‘best fighter’ trophies in male and female categories respectively in the 1st Invitational District Taekwondo Championship, organized by Taekwondo Sports Association of J&K at Hotel Punnu Residency, Bari Brahmana, near here.
Over 250 players participated in the Championship from various schools of District Jammu and Samba.
The gold medal winners included Devansh, Shreyas, Abhay Pratap, Amitoj, Palak, Kalpana, Achut, Arunakshi, Saksham Singh, Sahil Malik, Nisha Bamotra, Asmit, Nikhil and Akhil, while the silver medal winners were Bhavya Pratap, Samarth, Rishaan, Tanish, Karthik, Anika, Rohit, Shivansh, Karan, Himanshu, Neeraj, Ayush and Karthik Ishar. The bronze medal winners included Mukesh, Raj Singh, Dhruv, Rihaan, Arushi, Vinakshi, Prince, Ashutosh, Sandeep, Amit, Niharika, Jyoti and Raghav.
MLA Sham Lal Choudhary was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion, while Manmohan Sharma was the organizer and Rahul Khanmotra and Ajit Singh Choudhary were the technical director and tournament director respectively.
