DODA, May 30: Shree Siddhivinayeth Sports Club Mumbai (SSSCM) defeated Bihar Cricket Club (BCC) by 57 runs to move into the next round in the ongoing All India 8th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here. The tournament is being sponsored by J&K Bank.
Batting first, Siddhivinayeth Sports Club Mumbai scored 128 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Karan Panday and Sameer Sharma scored 33 and 30 runs respectively. From Bihar Cricket Club (BCC), Sarvan and Nitish took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Bihar Cricket Club bundled out for a paltry toal of 71 runs in 13.2 overs, thus lost the match by 57 runs. Sarwan and Sohan were the only two batsmen to cross double figure mark, scoring 11 and 10 runs respectively. For SSC Mumbai, Nikhil was the chief wrecker, scalping 5 wickets, while Sameer took 2 wickets. Nikhil Pawar of Shree Siddhivinayeth Sports Club Mumbai was awarded as man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance, who was given cash and trophy by chief guest Amit Bansal, BCCI Level II umpire.
The match was officiated by Sanjay Singh and Dharmesh Bhardwaj as umpires, while Dherendra Singh acted as scorer.
