NCC Chhattisgarh, CCC Doda log wins in Gufran T20

DODA, June 25: Naidu Cricket Club (NCC) Chhattisgarh and Combine Cricket Club (CCC) Doda outplayed Maitra Cricket Club (MCC) Ramban and Young Star Academy (YSA) Chhattisgarh respectively in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship 2018 at Sports Stadium, here today.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
The first match was played between NCC Chhattisgarh and MCC Ramban.
Batting first, after winning the toss, NCC Chhattisgarh scored 190 runs in 19.4 overs. Aryan Kojta top scored with 44 runs,while Akash Singh contributed 43 runs for his team. From MCC Ramban, Ravinder Singh, Jahangir Ahmed and Rajat Sharma shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, MCC Ramban bundled out for a paltry total of 88 runs in 14.4 overs. Sandeep Singh scored 25 runs while Pawan contributed 15 runs to the total. From NCC Chhattisgarh, Gitest Chauhan bagged 6 important wickets whereas Manish Rai and Alok Singh shared 1wicket each. Gitest Chauhan of NCC Chhattisgarh was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant bowling performance.
The second match was played between CCC Doda and YSA Chhattisgarh. Batting first, CCC Doda scored a total of 248 runs in 19.1 overs. Vijay Kumar top scored with 54 runs, while Babar contributed 44 runs to the total. From YSA Chhattisgarh, Aditya Kesari was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 4 important wickets while Kumar Partap and Aman Kumar claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, YSA Chhattisgarh bundled out for meagre 99 runs in 18.4 overs. Shashank Soni top scored with 26 runs, while Kumar Partap contributed 20 runs for his team. From CCC Doda, Vijay Kumar bagged 3 wickets while Farooq Lone and Nayeem-ul-Haq claimed 2 wickets each. Vijay Kumar of CCC Doda was declared as the man of the match for his superb all-round performance who was given cash prize and a trophy by Dr Azhar Ali Balwan along with Vijay Sharma and Sandeep Kumar.
The matches were officiated by Ifroz Rather, Harish Raza and Yousuf Raza while Sandeep Kaushik acted as the scorer.
