JAMMU, Dec 12: DYSSO defeated Press Club by 30 runs and lifted the NBF T20 Friendship Cup 2020-21 by defeating Press Club XI, played at JKCA Ground Science College, here today.
Batting first DYSSO scored 152 runs while Press Club XI failed to chase the set target and lost the match by 30 runs. Vikram Dogra from DYSSO took three wickets.
Director General Youth Services and Sports, Saleem-ur- Rehman was also part of the match and he assured all types of support from DYSSO for providing a platform to budding players.
Sohail Kazmi, eminent journalist was the chief guest of the event while the function was presided over by Nasir Ahmed Lawey (Member of Parliament) and Gulshan Rattan and Shiv Kumar were the special guests.
The series was organised by Nirbhay Bharat Foundation under the supervision of Tarun Uppal, chairman of the Foundation with an aim to promote sports spirit among the talented youth of the Union Territory.
