HANDWARA, Sept 25: Nazu Army Hardoona lifted the first edition of Kakrosa Volleyball Championship by defeating Raja Brothers Shogpora by 3-1 sets (25-19, 25-15, 19-25& 25-17), played at Higher Secondary School Kakrosa, here today.
About 16 teams from Villgam, Magam, Tarathpora and Kupwara blocks participated in the first edition of the Kakrosa Volleyball Championship from September 20 to 25.
The match ended on high note with a speech by the DDC and BDC. They stressed upon the importance of engaging the youth in sports and other co-curricular activities.
