JAMMU, Feb 23: Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School celebrated its Annual Felicitation Ceremony in its school multipurpose hall, here today.
Retired SP Sardar Khan, President School Management Committee was the chief guest on this occasion, while Prof Ram Murti Sharma (Retd.) and Gourav Vig, Director Discover Genius International were the guests of honour. Gandharb Singh Katal presided over the function.
The function commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, which was followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The welcome address and Annual Report highlighted the achievements of the school in the current academic session.
Students presented a variety of cultural items on the occasion. Bhangra showcasing the flavour of Punjab and the Fusion Dance were thrilling visual treat. Students also gave nail biting moments to the audience while showcasing their Martial Art skills.
It was followed by prize distribution ceremony wherein the worthy chief guest bestowed the prizes to the most deserving students and motivated all to keep working hard with sincere endeavours.
In his address, Prof Sharma applauded the talent of the students and congratulated them for their academic performances. Later, Mr Vig, Internationally acclaimed Memory and Stress Management Trainer made everyone aware of various brain activities and stress management tips.
Sardar Khan while addressing, appreciated the efforts of school administration for regularly organising various curricular and co-curricular throughout the session which help in multidimensional growth of the wards.
He also extended his best wishes to the school for its future accomplishments.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Gandharb Singh Katal.
Prominent among those who were present during the function were Guru Dutt Sharma, Dr Sham Lal Padha, Charanjeet Singh, Chander Sharma, Shamsher Singh, Shiv Prasad and Hem Raj.
