JAMMU, Jan 8: National Power Lifting Championship being organized by J&K Sports Power Lifting Association entered third day today here at Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar.
In Women Junior Unequipped category, MG Rani from Tamil Nadu, Ashimol from Kerala and A Priya from Puducherry secured first, second and third ranks respectively in 43 kg category, whileas Akshaya S from Kerala, Murugavalli N from Puducherry and Husn Bano from Uttarakhand secured top three ranks in 47 kg category. In 52 kg category, Sarita Raikwar from Madhya Pradesh, Shodhana N from Karnataka and Sushila from Chandigarh emerged winners, whileas in 57 kg category, Merina Devi from Karnataka, Riya from Kerala and Jasvinder Kour from Uttarakhand claimed top three positions, in 63 kg category, Shalini from Karnataka, Putul Sarkar from West Bengal and Manta Manohar Markad from Maharashtra emerged winners, in 72 kg category, Suprita from Tamil Nadu, R Nandhini from Puducherry and V Lavanya Goud from Telengana claimed top three positions, in 84 kg category, Rehana from Kerala, Usha from Karnataka and Anju Murali from Kerala emerged winners and in 84 Plus category, Divya Shree from Karnataka, Mousumi Bora from Assam and Swati from New Delhi secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In Men Junior unequipped category, Kola Chiranjibi from Chandigarh, Sujit Sudhir Sawant from Maharashtra and Amit Thapa from Odisha secured top three ranks in 53 kg category, whileas Ashish Kumar Dey from Jharkhand, S Panner Selvam from Puducherry and A Marimuthu from Puducherry claimed first, second and third positions respectively in 59 kg category, in 66 kg category, Sunil Parasharam Konewadkae from Maharashtra, Prince Raj from Bihar and Sudipth Kumar Rana from Jharkhand emerged winners, in 74 kg category, Shakti Singh from Uttarakhand, Mahender Singh from Jharkhand and Aryan Singh from Jharkhand claimed top three ranks, in 83 kg category, Gurpreet Singh from Punjab, S Ram Shankar from Tamil Nadu and Ram Singh from Uttarakhand emerged winners, in 93 kg category, Sandeep Tyagi from New Delhi, Vijay Singh from Haryana and Anuj Pal from Uttarakhand emerged winners, in 105 kg category, Sandeep Gupta from Uttar Pradesh, Mohit Kumar from New Delhi and Vikash Kumar from Bihar emerged winners and in 120 kg category, R Arvind Shankar, Amit Maurya and Ashraf Ali Kittur from Karnataka emerged winners.
In Master-I Women Unequipped category, Inderjeet Kaur from New Delhi remained at number 1 in 47 kg weight category, whileas L Sobhabati Chanu from Manipur and Manju Kathuria claimed top ranks in 52 kg and 57 kg categories respectively, in 63 kg category, Monica Dhingra from New Delhi, Medha Sanjay Khainar from Maharashtra and Renuka Nigam from Madhya Pradesh secured first, second and third positions respectively, in 72 kg category, Rakhi Sharma from Assam, Rajni Pal from Maharashtra and Ch Ibemcha Devi from Manipur emerged winners.
In Master-I Men Unequipped category, Anil Kumar from Kerala, Jagandeesh from Karnataka and V Jaya Kumar from Tamil Nadu emerged winners in 59 kg category, in 66 kg category, Manoj Kumar Verma from Madhya Pradesh, Ganesh Mane from Maharashtra and G Shanker Murthy from Karnataka emerged winners, in 74 kg category, Muhammad Shafi from Kerala, Dayanand Reddy from Telangana and Umesh Poojary from Maharashtra emerged winners, in 83 kg category, Sanjeev from Kerala, Sham Singh from Madhya Pradesh and Chandresh Soni from Rajasthan emerged winners, in 93 kg category, KP Reyash Ahmed from Puducherry, Sunil M Adsul from Maharashtra and Devendrappa H from Karnataka emerged winners, in 105 kg category, S Bhagavathi from Tamil Nadu, J Shiva Kumar from Telengana and S Lingesanvelon from Puducherry emerged winners, in 120 kg category, D Jeevandham from Tamil Nadu, Rajesh Chandra Roy from West Bengal and Mathew TJ from Kerala emerged winners and in 120 kg category, N Mahendran of Tamil Nadu claimed first position.
In Men Master-II Unequipped category, PK Suresh Kumar from Tamil Nadu, Babu V from Kerala and Ankush S Sawant from Maharashtra emerged winners, in 66 kg category, C Satya Marayana from Telengana, R Kuthalingam from Tamil Nadu and Anish Kumar from Kerala emerged winners, in 74 kg category, Sanat Usrethe from Madhya Pradesh, P Raju from Telengana and Radhey Shyam Singh from Uttar Pradesh emerged winners, in 83 kg category, N Ramarao from Tamil Nadu, Mujeeb Ullah Khan from Madhya Pradesh and N Chandraiah from Telengana emerged winners, in 93 kg category, Parthasarthi Paul from Madhya Pradesh, Surendra Singh from Uttrakhand and Shyam Lal from Rajasthan emerged winners, in 105 kg category, Devarajan NB from Kerala, Satvir Singh from Punjab and G Nelson from Telengana emerged winners and in 120 kg category, Sekhar Das from West Bengal claimed top position.
In Men Master-III Unequipped category, Veerabhadrappa from Karnataka and Srinivasan from Kerala claimed top two ranks in 59 kg category, in 74 kg category, Prema Chandran VC from Kerala, Narayn Sahu from West Bengal and Tom Louis from Tamil Nadu emerged winners, in 83 kg category, Bhagwan Das from Madhya Pradesh, S Djarze from Puducherry and LB Rao from Maharashtra emerged winners, in 93 kg category, Vishnu Sargar from Maharashtra, Trilok Singh from Chandigarh and Mahendra Kumar Goswami from Madhya Pradesh emerged winners, in 105 kg and 120 kg categories, V Makkesh from Telengana and Sabir Hussain Sal from Uttarakhand emerged winners respectively.
In Men Master-IV Unequipped category, Phool Singh from Madhya Pradesh emerged winner, in 83 kg category, Ajay Kumar Mandal from West Bengal and A Rahman from Madhya Pradesh emerged winners, in 66 kg category, Milan Kumar Dey emerged winner, in 105 kg category, SK Malhotra from Madhya Pradesh emerged winner and in 120 kg category, Mayank from New Delhi, Love Deep Singh from Punjab and Jigyasu Sharma from New Delhi emerged winners.
The matches were officiated by Peter Throne, Vice President, International Blind Sports Federation and former president, United States Power Lifting Federation. Rajan Jain, general secretary of J&K Sports Power Lifting Association was also present on the occasion.
