JAMMU, Oct 10: Seven-day National Integration NSS Camp began today at NSS Unit of Government Degree College Bishnah.
MLA Bishnah, Ashwani Kumar Sharma was the chief guest while Dr Vishavraksha, Programme Co-ordinator, NSS Unit, University of Jammu, was the guest of honour.
The proceedings of the programme were initiated by NSS Officer, Dr Suman Charak in which she highlighted the various activities to be undertaken during the camp.
A symposium was held in which eight volunteers shared their views on the topic “Role of NSS volunteers in promoting National Integration”.
MLA Ashwani Kumar applauded the efforts of principal and staff and gave an amount of Rs 1000 to the NSS volunteers as a token of encouragement.
In the symposium Pooja, Nidhu and Sweety were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd, respectively, where as Neetu was given consolation prize by the panel of judges comprising of Dr Raj Jamwal, Arti Sharma and Dhiraj Singh.
