JAMMU, June 13: National Cricket Club registered win over New Challenger Cricket Club by a huge margin of 129 runs and registered berth in the semis of the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Elected to bat first after winning the toss, National Cricket Club scored 227 runs by losing 3 wickets in allotted 27 overs. Aditya Partap played a splendid inning of unbeaten 77 runs off 55 balls, while Pranav also chipped in 42 runs in 28 balls. Abd Samad, Sahil Bhalwal and Manish Dogra also contributed 36, 32 and 25 runs respectively.
For New Challenger Cricket Club, Harjeet scalped 2 wickets, while Naresh Kumar took 1 wicket.
In reply, New Challenger Cricket Club failed to chase the target and bundled out at paltry 98 runs by losing all the wickets in 20.4 overs. Naresh Kumar made 32 runs, while Ved scored 13 runs.
For National Cricket Club, Tanmey took 3 wickets, while Sahil Bhardwaj and Vijay Dogra scalped 2 wickets each.
Aditya Partap Singh of National Cricket Club was adjudged as Man of the Match.
At Sports Stadium Kathua, Shivan XI Kathua defeated Kharote XI Kathua by 10 wickets in JKCA Under-25 Cricket Premier Championship.
Batting first after winning the toss, Kharote XI Kathua scored 95 runs in 19.5 overs by losing all the wickers. Sambu made 15 runs, while Raman scored 14 runs.
For Shivam XI Kathua, Shubham scalped 4 wickets, while Sanjay took 3 wickets.
In reply, Shivam XI Kathua chased the target in 7.1 overs without losing any single wicket. Gourav chipped in magnificent 44 runs off 20 balls, while Shivam Sharma made 42 runs in 29 balls.
Shubham of Shivam XI Kathua was declared as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rahul Kumar, Rajesh Gupta and Mohan Lal as umpires, while Saleem-ur-Rehman and Kulbhushan Singh maintained the scorecards.
