Nasir Aslam inaugurates 1st Sopore T20 Cricket Cup

SOPORE, June 24: Minister of State for Home, Nasir Aslam Wani inaugurated the 1st Sopore T20 Cricket Cup in an impressive and colourful function, here today.
The tournament, in which 56 teams drawn from Sopore town and adjoining areas are participating, is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department under the supervision of Rajesh Kumar, DIG North Kashmir.
The motto of the tournament is to ‘say yes to sports and no to drugs’.
An exhibition match between Sopore Blues and Sopore Reds was played on the occasion, in which the player who was adjudged man of the match was presented a cash prize by the chief guest.
While congratulating the J&K Police for holding this sporting extravaganza, the chief guest said that the J&K Police was the best force in the country, the fact testified by the Prime Minister himself.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Mohd Ashraf Dar, MLA Sopore, IGP Kashmir SM Sahai, SP PD Sopore, Imtiyaz and MD J&K Housing Board, Kiran Wattal.
