Naresh, Aashim guide CCA to register 5 wkts win over GNCC

JAMMU, June 22: The magnificent batting performance by Naresh Singh and 3 wickets haul by Aashim guided Country Cricket Academy (CCA) to register 5 wickets win over Gandhi Nagar Cricket Club (GNCC) in the ongoing 3rd Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Cup, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Batting first after winning the toss, GNCC set a target of 121 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs, which, in reply, CCA chased and won the match by 5 wickets.
Abdul Samad scored half century, whereas Mukesh Sharma and Shubam made 32 and 24 runs respectively.
From CCA side, Aashim scalped 3 wickets, whereas Rakesh Sehwag, Naresh and Lakshay scalped 1 wicket each.
Later, CCA chased the target in 19 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Naresh Kumar played superb inning of 61 runs, whileas Rakesh Sharma made 24 runs.
From GNCC side, Anil and Bablu scalped 2 wickets each, whereas Makhan claimed 1 wicket.
Naresh Kumar of CCA was declared as man of the match for his batting performance.
The match was officiated by Madan Lal and Sohail Yusuf as umpires while Bagal acted as scorer.
