JAMMU, Feb 20: MV International School organized the ‘Annual Prize Distribution Function – 2015’ in the school premises, here today.
Hira Lal Abrol, chairman, MVIS graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Gourav Abrol, director, MVIS was the guest of honour.
In the first segment, the winners of Inter School events of the previous 2 months were felicitated, which included ‘2nd Prize in Inter School Folk Song Competition organized under Jammu Sahodaya. The first prize in State Level Painting Competition organized by the Oil & Natural Gas Commission was bagged by Atish Slathia of 8th B. Raghav Dabgotra of 7th B received a cash prize of Rs 2,000 in the State Level Painting Competition organized by Water Resource Commission, Govt. of India. Winners of North Zone Speedball Championships, medal winners of National Matsogi-Do Championship and the medal winners of National Science Olympiad (9 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze) were also felicitated on the occasion.
In his address the Chairman, stressed on the opportunities provided at MVIS for complete development of every child’s personality.
Later, 360 students were awarded with “Certificates of Excellence” in Inter House Cultural and Sports events. Director of the school inspired the children to believe in hard work and make winning a habit.
5th Edition of the Annual School Magazine “Patrika” that carries record of year long successes of MVIS along with literary articles in 5 languages was launched by the guests.
The vote of thanks was presented by the Principal K L Dogra. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
