JAMMU, July 6: Batting all-rounder Rahul Mussa’s superb 42 runs, coupled with good contributions by Amit Sharma and Sahil Singh with the bat and Amandeep Singh with the ball helped Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) Srinagar to outplay Lions Cricket Club by 13 runs to seal berth in the finals of the Ist Titu Memorial Cricket Tournament at High School Satwari ground, here today.
Earlier, batting first, RCC scored a good total of 168 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Rahul Mussa was the top scorer with 42 runs, studded with 8 boundaries, while Amit Sharma and Sahil Singh contributed 42 and 25 runs respectively. For Lions Club, Hoshiar Singh and Punjabi bagged 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply, Lions Club scored 155 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 13 runs. Deepu, Ajay and Nasir scored 34, 25 and 20 runs respectively. For RCC Srinagar, Amandeep Singh scalped 2 wickets, while Amit Sharma, Satish Kumar and Kuldeep claimed one wicket each. Rahul Mussa was adjudged man of the match for his quick-fire knock of 42 runs.
