JAMMU, Dec 13: Mussa Football Club registered a convincing win over Young Star FC by one goal to nil (1-0) in the ongoing 5th Christmas Soccer Championship which is being organized by Christian Sports Organization in collaboration with J&K Football Association at Parade ground, here.
The objective of the Championship is to help youth not to take drugs and live a healthy life. The slogan of the Tournament is “Be Healthy – Don’t Do Drugs”.
In today’s match, Mussa FC won the match by 1-0 goal and the only goal was scored by Rakesh in 6th minute of the game and the Young star FC tried hard in the whole match to score an equalizer but failed in the process.
Ranjeet Kalra, Vice Chairman J&K State Sports Council, Jammu was the chief guest in today’s match, who was introduced with the participating teams. He appreciated the winning team for its great performance and conveyed his best wishes.
He said sports serves for delight, ornament and for agility.
The main Sponsors of the Championship are Federal Bank, South Indian Bank and Canara Bank whereas the Co-Sponsors includes M/S Try Me Readymade Garments, Pritam Advertisers, Punjabi Brothers and Honor powered by Huawei .
The officiating members of the today’s match were Rakesh Kumar, Dheeraj Mania, Rocky, Rajinder Singh and Mohinder Kalsi.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Kathua FC will take on Kashmir United from Pool-A at 12 pm and Udhampur FC will face Kanwal Sports Anantnag from Pool-B at 1.30 pm.
