JAMMU, Oct 11: Musa Club and Param Football Club got better of their rivals in the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament, being played at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, Musa Club defeated Sainik Colony FC by a solitary goal.
After a goalless first half, Vishal Dogra of Musa Club pelted a brilliant goal in 48th minute of the match to help his team get a much needed lead. Musa Club finally won by one goal to nil (1-0).
In another match, Param FC defeated Engineers XI in an easy contest by three goals to nil (3-0). The first goal was scored by Satnam Singh in the 25th minute, while the second and third goals were netted by Ayush Kumar and Vijinder in 30th and 50th minutes of the match respectively.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Ramesh Chander, Rinku, Sohan Kumar and Moon Stephen.
In tomorrow’s fixture, NGR will face Jammu Sports in the first match at 2:30 pm, while Jammu United will lock horns against Vijay Club at 3:30 pm.
Prominent among others, the matches were witnessed by organizing secretary, Narinder Gupta, Varinder Gupta, Ramesh Chander, Amardeep Singh, David Masih, Satpal Singh, Charan Dass and Harbans Singh.
