Munazah wins gold in Moscow Wushu Stars C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 28: Munazah Gazi brought laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by securing gold medal in the ongoing Moscow Wushu Stars Championship at Moscow.
She defeated a player from Kazakhstan in the final in 60 kg weight category.
Earlier, Munazah drubbed Russian counterpart in the semifinal.
The Indian Wushu team secured 6 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals in the Championship.
Munazah, who hails from Srinagar has secured number of medals at the National level and last year she made the country proud by winning silver medal in the 10th Asian Wushu Championship at Brunie.
Rajesh Choudhary of Jammu and Kashmir working in CRPF also secured silver medal in the Championship. He lost to Russian counterpart in the semifinals.
The office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K have congratulated the duo for this achievement.
