JAMMU, Feb 26: Munazah Gazi, silver medallist in the 10th Junior Asian Wushu Championship at Brunie left for Moscow to participate in the Moscow Wushu Stars Championship to be held at Moscow up to February 29, 2020.
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) sanctioned the team at cost to Government. Prior to participation, the Wushu Association of India organised 45 days Wushu Coaching Camp at Chandigarh. Munazeh Gazi from Srinagar has secured a galaxy of medals at the National and International levels.
Two times national medallist, Rajesh Choudhary of Jammu and Kashmir, working in CRPF is also as part of the Indian team for this event.
The President of the Wushu Association of J&K, Vijay Saraf congratulated both the players and hoped that the duo will earn name and fame for the country and the UT of Jammu and Kashmir as well.
He also thanked President of the Wushu Association of India, Bhupender Singh Bajwa for providing platform to J&K players.
The CEO of Wushu Association of J&K and Chief Coach of India, Kuldeep Handoo lauded the efforts of both the players for this achievement.
