JAMMU, Oct 17: Mudassar Ashiq will take on Younis Kuchey in the summit clash of the 1st J&K State Six Red Ball Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA), at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
Earlier in the first semis, Mudassar Ashiq defeated Ishuk Chowdhary by 5-1, whereas in the second semifinal, Younis Kuchey crushed Jaideep Manocha by 5-2.
Meanwhile, Furkan Wani, Aman Chowdhary and Ansh chopra outplayed rivals and entered into the semis of the Sub-Junior Snooker Champio-nship at same venue.
Earlier, Ishan Singh beat Harsh Kumar by 2-1 in the first pre-quarterfinal match on day-2 of the Championship. In the second match, Sanand Sharma defeated Sankalp Soni by straight 2-0 frames, whereas in the third game, Furkan Wani crushed Sunny Gupta by 2-0.
Ansh Chopra smashed Padam Gupta by 2-1 in the fourth match, whereas in the fifth game, Ansh Chopra registered win over Basit Wani by 2-1.
In the sixth game, Vasu Gupta beat Krishna by 2-1 and in the seventh game, Amanya Mahajan crushed Sanam Dogra by 2-0.
Aman Chowdhary registered win over Ishan Singh in the eighth game, whereas in the ninth game, Furkan Wani beat Ananya Mahajan by straight 2-0 frames.
The matches were being held under strict supervision of the JKBSA members and played with the rules and regulations of Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI).
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Sharma, Pawan Khajuria and Ashok.
According to Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA) spokes-man, the last date of entries for Junior Snooker is October 18.
