JAMMU, May 18: Mission Olympics Shooting Academy Jammu celebrated an impressive performance by its young shooters at the India Open National Level Competition organised by the National Rifle Association of India at Trishul Shooting Academy from May 15 to 23.
Young shooter Dharya Kotwal emerged as the star performer by clinching double gold medals in the 10m Air Rifle Sub Youth and Youth categories. She registered an outstanding score of 415.3, displaying remarkable consistency, focus and determination throughout the championship.
Another promising shooter from the academy, Laksh Chetan Wazir, also delivered a commendable performance by scoring 409.7 points and finishing fourth in the highly competitive Sub Youth category.
The achievements brought pride to the academy and the sporting fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir. MOSAJ officials congratulated both shooters for their dedication, discipline and commitment towards excellence in shooting sports. The academy also acknowledged the continuous support and encouragement of parents in motivating young athletes to perform at the national level.
The leadership of the Jammu and Kashmir Rifle Association, including president Surinder Singh Sodhi, chairman Kuldeep Jamwal, general secretary Sharat Chandar Singh and treasurer Arun Mansotra, congratulated the medal winners and coaches Vishal Mehra and Aman Singh, expressing confidence in the future growth of shooting sports in the Union Territory.
