Mohun Bagan beats Real Kashmir by 1-0 in I-League

Excelsior Sports Correspondent
Srinagar, Nov 20 The Real Kashmir today suffered their second consecutive defeat after one of the oldest football clubs of the country, Mohan Bagan, beat them by 1-0 in a nail biting finish at TRC Synthetic turf ground here in presence of a jam packed home crowd.
It was Real Kashmir who troubled the opposite side in the first half of the game but were unlucky to convert the chances and get past through the goalpost.
It was the Kolkata side who drew first blood in the 70th minute when Dipanda headed home a cross from Kisekka. The Ugandan was the architect as he outfoxed Mason Robertson and placed his cross in between Loveday Okechukwu and Mascarenhas to find an unmarked Dipanda who made no mistake from close range.
The second half was dominated by the Kolkata side and the defence held the fort of the Real Kashmir forwards for the remainder of the game.
Real Kashmir head coach David Robertson made three changes to the side that lost 2-0 to NEROCA with Nagen Tamang, Khalid Qayoom and Abhash Thapa replacing Farhan Ganie, Brian Mascarenhas and Muhammad Hammad, while Mohun Bagan coach, Sankarlal Chakraborty opted for just one change, giving defender Dalraj Singh a start in place of Kim Kima.
Real Kashmir had so far beaten defending champions Minerva Punjab by 1-0 in Panchkula to begin their I-League debut season in stunning fashion, then played out a goal-less draw against Churchill Brothers and lost another game with NEROCA FC here.
The win takes the Mohun Bagan to second spot in the I-League standings with eight points from four games while Real Kashmir, on the other hand, suffered their second defeat at home, keeping them on four points from a similar number of games and down to eighth place.
