JAMMU, Mar 2 Modern Montessori International (MMI) Preschool (London) Jammu branch today celebrated its fifth foundation day.
A simple but impressive function was organized on the occasion. Founding Director of the School, Sapna Rohmetra was the chief guest of the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Pragya Gupta said that despite pandemic MMI has registered an enviable progress in its academics and other activities through its virtual classes, in last two years. “These five years i.e. from 2017 -2022 were full of learning and fun whether the school was offline or online,” she said, adding, this became possible only because of the strength of our community and whole hearted passion to make our virtual schooling a wonderful experience for our children.
She acknowledged the support of parents in helping kids in the learning process while stating that the partnership between home and school is important for the overall development of the kids. She wished all the MMI children for their future endeavours.
Sapna Rohmetra, while speaking on the occasion, said, “Our goal here at MMI Jammu is not to control but to inspire our children to think for themselves and to think about others.” She said the School has state-of-the-art products and resources for children’s learning. Our children are most precious to us—beyond all else we hold dear in life, she asserted. To mark the occasion, the Director also planted an Ashoka tree in the school premises.
Inspired by the philosophy of Dr Maria Montessori, classrooms at MMI Preschool, Trikuta Nagar (Jammu) serve as calm well ordered spaces where every detail has been designed around how children learn and play. The School is spread over an area of approximately 6000 square feet and is equipped with all the modern facilities which include a lush green lawn, nature walk, vegetable and herbs garden, ball pool, slides, cars and tricycles, sandpit etc.
