JAMMU, Dec 30: MIER Higher Secondary School, Chack Salarian celebrated Annual Day, with pomp and show, here today.
Chander Parkash Ganga, Minister for Industries and Commerce was the chief guest on the occasion, while OP Bhagat, CEO, Samba was the guest of honour. Dalbir Singh Pathania from Board of School Education was also present on the occasion.
The chief guest was very impressed by all the performances, however, he was greatly impressed by the message conveyed by the little kids on communal harmony.
The students through ‘Nukkad Natak’also conveyed messages for saving electricity, for not using polythene, ‘Swach Bharat’ and various other messages to the society through their act.
The students also showed glimpses of the Punjabi, Dogri, Gujarati, Rajasthani and Marathi cultures through various dances.
They represented their culture through the traditional dances as well as their modernity through their western performances.
Chander Parkash Ganga hailed the school management and the Principal, Manjit Kour for better functioning of the School.
