JAMMU, Oct 25: MIER Academy registered win over Singh Akhnoor Lions and registered berth in the next round of the ongoing Under-15 Diwali T-20 League for boys, being organized by Vishal Club Jammu in collaboration with Jammu Police, at Parade Ground, here today.
In today’s match, MIER Academy defeated Singh Akhnoor Lions by 41 runs.
Batting first, MIER Academy scored 126 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Arsh was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Aparajit made 19 runs and Aditrya Abrol chipped in 13 runs.
For Singh Akhnoor Lions side, Stephan took 2 wickets, while Ritik, Pankosh and Nonit shared one wicket each.
In reply, Singh Akhnoor Lions failed to chase the target and bundled out at 85 runs by losing all wickets. Rohit was the highest scorer with 22 runs, while Shubam and Sukin made 14 each.
For MIER Academy side, Karmanya took 3 wickets, while Jatin and Shavac clinched 2 wickets each. Rahil Bhat scalped one wicket.
Karmanya was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay Manchanda and Shugul.
The second round of the matches will begin from October 28 at 10 am and inauguration of the 5th Eid Diwali Milan Cricket Cup for State cricketers and students will be conducted at 2 pm.
