MHSCC, CC storm into semi-finals

JAMMU, Oct 4: Maharaja Hari Singh Cricket Club (MHSCC) and Chenab Cricket Club (CCC) stormed into the semifinals matches of the ongoing Bunty Slathia Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at Nagbani, here today.
In the first match, MHSCC defeated Flora CC by 8 runs. MHSCC won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 96 runs, wherein Raju and Sumit contributed 22 and 24 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Gullu was the wrecker in chief who took 5 wickets by conceding only 12 runs, while Munna and Sahil took 2 wickets each.
In reply, FCC bundled out at 88 runs, wherein Laddy was the only batter who made 32 runs. From the bowling side, Asad took 4 wickets and was adjudged with man of the match award, while Gora and Raman took 2 wickets each.
In another match, Chenab CC beat Slathia CC by 4 wickets.
Batting first, SCC gave the target of 122 runs wherein Rahul contributed 35 runs. From the bowling side, Sahil took 3 wickets. In reply, Chenab CC chased the set target in 16 overs by losing only 6 wickets and registered 4 wickets win over Slathia CC. For Chenab CC, Panku made 26 runs and Babbu made 48 runs.
Babbu was declared as man of the match for his outstanding batting.
