JAMMU, Feb 14: Mayank Goswami Cricket Club and Road Safety XI registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Cup 2020 at KCSC ground, here.
In the first match, Mayank Goswami Cricket Club defeated Raina Cricket Club by a big margin of 92 runs.
Mayank Goswami Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, MGCC scored 144 runs in 20 overs. Rohan and Samprit scored 38 and 36 runs respectively. From RCC, Sanjay took 1 wicket. In reply, RCC bundled out for a paltry total of 52 runs. From MGCC, Sampark and Pranav took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Sampark of MGCC was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Road Safety Cricket Club drubbed Sai Cricket Club by a huge margin of 124 runs.
Winning the toss and batting first, Road Safety Cricket Club scored 197 runs in 20 overs. Ishtaiq Ellahi top scored with 75 runs, while Majid contributed 52 runs to the total. Rahul took 2 wickets for Sai CC.
In reply, Sai CC bundled out for a meagre total of 73 runs, thus lost the match by 124 runs. Mohit and Aryan were the two batsmen to cross double figure mark, scoring 14 and 11 runs respectively. Ishtaiq Ellahi was the wrecker-in-chief from Road Safety XI, who took 5 important wickets. Ishtaiq Ellahi of Road Safety Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant all-round display.
