SRINAGAR, May 10: Minerva Football Club (MFC), Chandigarh smashed Lonestar KFC by 3-2 goals in the final round of I-League 2nd Div match, played here today.
Lonestar KFC started aggressively and made several attempts to score the goals in the first 15 minutes. In 20th mintute Minerva FC scored first goal on free kick through Kareem, a Nigerian player. Kareem doubled the lead in 25th minute and kept this lead till the end of first half.
In second half, LKFC dominated the game and create some beautiful moves. It was Farooq Choudhary, who scored first goal for Lonestar FC and created some hope for his team.
In 50th minute, LKFC leveled the scoreboard through Altamash Syed, while Kareem from Minerva FC scored the goal in the last minute of the game and paved way for his team to register win.
