Meritorious sportspersons from Kargil call on Haji Anayat Ali

JAMMU, Feb 13: Youths of Kargil have excelled in the games like Taekwondo and Boxing, which should be promoted in a better way so that these students can excel at the International level.
This was stated by the Chairman J&K Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali during an interaction with a delegation of young sportspersons from District Kargil led by Boxing and Taekwondo Coach Ghulam Mustafa and Mohammad Ali, who were on a nationwide tour to attend various National and State Boxing and Taekwondo Championships.
Appreciating the efforts of the Coaches and SAI SAG Kargil, Anayat Ali urged upon the Coaches to impart special training to the youths so that they can excel at National and International levels.
Haji Ali who is also the President of Boxing Association of Kargil has assured all possible help to the players so that there will not be any hindrance in their professional grooming.
The Taekwondo contingent that participated in 4th National Cadet Taekwondo Championship held at Chennai won 2 gold medals, while in J&K State Taekwondo Championship the players won 12 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Meanwhile, the Boxing contingent which took part in the J&K state Boxing Championship, the players from Kargil won 10 gold and 3 silver medals.
Safder Ali of Kargil Ladakh also represented J&K in 21st Senior National Wushu Championship held at Assam in Guwahati.
Haji Anayat Ali also arranged a special Tea Party for the contingents and presented Khatak to each player and the coaches also.
