JAMMU, Apr 14: Meenal Gupta won the first place in girls Under-13 category, while Soham Kamotra bagged the first place in boys Under-13 age category in the ongoing Jammu Division Selection Chess Tournament, being organized by All J&K Chess Association at Ace Chess Academy, Trikuta Nagar, here.
The second place in girls category went to Avni Gupta, while Arushi Kotwal got third place in this category.
In boys category second place was clinched by Vilakshan Mehta, while Aryaveer Koul got third place.
The matches were officiated by FIDE Arbiter Anil Kotwal, under FIDE Laws of Chess with Swiss System.
All the matches were conducted under the overall supervision of president All J&K Chess Association, Atul Kumar Gupta.
Women Open and Sub Junior category events will be played on April 18 and April 19 respectively at same venue.
