POONCH, July 19: Splendid 2 goals by Meenakshi helped SAI Greens to thrash Stadium XI by four goals to one (4-1) in the ongoing hockey tournament, being organised by SAI Coaching Centre Poonch, under the auspices of Hockey J&K at Sports Stadium, here.
Meenakshi neted the first goal in 31st minute to give her side one goal lead in the first half of the match. In the second half, Sakshi scored the goal in 43rd minute to increse the lead by one goal. But Chandani of Stadium XI reduced the lead by scoring a fabulous goal in the 51st minute to make it (2-1). Then Neha displayed her talent by scoring a brilliant goal in 56th minute which was followed by yet another goal by Meenakshi in the 63rd minute to make her team win the match by (4-1).
The matches were officiated by Tarvinder Pal Singh, Sanjeev Sharma and Mukesh, while the tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sham Lal Sharma, hockey coach Sports Authority of India.
