JAMMU, Apr 24: Media XI defeated Chohala Cricket Club by one run in the ongoing 2nd Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Sachin Singh, Mukesh Sharma and Sunil Kumar, under the chairmanship of Ankush Abrol, Member BCCI at Mandal cricket ground, here.
Put into bat, Medai XI scored a decent total of 150 runs in the stipulaterd 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Ashu Kumar top scored with 37 runs, while Amit Kumar and Rahul Khatri contributed 28 runs to the total. Mukesh Sharma also chipped in with unbeaten 13 runs. For Chohala Cricket Club, Surinder, Anurag Singh and Rakesh Kumar bagged 2 wickets each.
In reply, Chohala Club fell just one run short of the required total. Surinder top scored with 106 runs, while no other batsman could cross the double figure mark. For Media XI, Naveen Koul was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Ashu Kumar and Mukesh Sharma claimed 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
