REASI, Feb 23: Muslim Cricket Club (MCC) defeated Young Cricket Club (YCC) by 19 runs in the semifinals of the ongoing 4th Amit Memorial Cricket Tournament at Parade ground, here today. Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, MCC scored a modest total of 122 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Nazeem Malik top scored with 30 runs, while Aasif and Salman Magray contributed 28 and 27 runs respectively. For YCC, Handoo, Pintu, Amit and Vinod took 2 wickets each.
In reply, YCC bundled-out for103 runs in 18.1 overs , thus lost the match by 19 runs. Handoo, Pintu and Amit contributed 17, 15 and 11 runs respectively. For MCC, Sadiq took 3 wickets, while Mehran and Sajjad took 2 wickets each. Sajjad from MCC was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance.
The final of the tournament will be played tomorrow between Kalika Cricket Club and Muslim Cricket Club.
