JAMMU, Jan 22: MBS Hockey Club defeated Shaheed Bhagat Singh Hockey Club by four goals to one (4-1) in the ongoing Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sub Junior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation, under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
The first goal was scored by Prabjot Singh in 2nd minute of the match, while the second goal was netted by Pawandeep in 15th minute. The third and the 4th goals were scored by Jasneet Singh and Gaganjot Singh in the 43rd and 49th minutes of the match respectively.
The only goal from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Club was scored by Prabjot Singh in 22nd minute.
Amarjit Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh, treasurer Hockey India, Dr Taran Singh and GS Bakshi, general secretary Hockey J&K.
Meanwhile, in Women Hockey Championship, Jammu University held Platinum Women Hockey Club to (1-1) draw. For Platinum Club, the goal scorer was Ruby in 24th minute, while for Jammu University, the goal scorer was Priya, who netted the goal in 32nd minute.
The matches were officiated by Jagjeet Singh, Sohil Azeem, Joginder Singh, Kulwant Singh, Charanjit Singh and Abhishek.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were PD Singh, Janak Singh and MS Reen.
