MBS, GNNHC, MRSC register resounding win in U-19 hockey

JAMMU, Dec 30: MBS Hockey Club, Makhanpur, Simbal Camp, Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club (GNNHC) and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Club (MRSC) Simbal defeated their rivals to advance in the ongoing Junior Under-19 Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astroturf Stadium, here today.
Earlier, in the first match, MBS drubbed Sittu Club Simbal Camp by six goals to nil (6-0). Ramdeep Singh, Ramanjit Singh and Navjot Singh scored 2 goals each for MBS Hockey Club to take it to the semifinals.
In another match, Guru Nanak Nagar Hockey Club blanked Young Star Simbal by six goals to nil (6-0). The goals scorers were Sukhvir Singh, Simranjeet Singh and Gagandeep Singh who pelted 2 goals each.
In yet another match, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Club Simbal trounced Bagh Bian Gole Gujral by a solitary goal and the goal scorer was Mandeep Singh.
The matches were officiated by Joginder Singh, J S Bali, J S Reen, Balkrishan and M S Reen.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Rajinder Singh, treasurer Hockey India, Romal Singh, general secretary Hockey J&K, Mohan Lal Sharma, Manmohanpal Singh and Bishan Singh.
