Martyrs Volleyball tournament held at Arnas

REASI, Nov 27: District Police Reasi organized a Police Martyrs Volleyball tournament at Police Station Arnas in the memories of brave martyrs of the district, here today.
The tournament was inaugurated by Prithpal Singh SDPO Arnas, wherein four dynamic teams from Arnas and its adjoining areas including Panasa, Dansal, Thakrakote and Arnas participated in the contest. The matches were held on a knockout basis.
The final match was won by Arnas by defeating Thakrakote. Trophies and certificates were distributed among the participants.
On the closing ceremony, chief guest, Shailender Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi conveyed that there were two main motives behind such tournaments including one was to pay tributes to the bravery of martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the nation and second was to provide platform to the youth of the area to display their unexplored talent.
He also disclosed that Reasi Police is going to organize more such events in the district in near future which includes Athletics, Art and Cultural events.
