*Motivates people to donate organs

JAMMU, Aug 18: A volunteer from National Organ Tissue Transplant (NOTTA), Manjunath Nagraj, Software Engineer from Bangalore is cycling from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to motivate people in general for donating the organs after death and save precious lives.
He reached Jammu in the morning today, where an impressive and well attended welcome programme was organised by the members of Jammu Masters Badminton Club and Rajesh Uppal, founder members of Pedals of Nirvana (National Cycling Organisation).
He was honoured with Nirvana medal by the members of Badminton Club.
On the occasion, Manjunath shared his experience with the sports personalities of Jammu and said that he started the journey from Kanyakumari in Kerala and travelled a distance of around 4300 kilometers from Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu.
He will start his onward journey to Kashmir Valley tomorrow.
Rajesh Uppal, Balbir Jamwal, General Secretary J&K Badminton Association and Saravanan, General Secretary of the Club while welcoming the ace cyclist gave the slogan ‘Live Long Helmet On’.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sultan Mirza, Basanti Bhat, Kirti Sharma, Vivek Mehta, Raju Chawla, Dr Neeraj Gupta, Sukhdev Singh and Vasu Sharma.
