JAMMU, July 4: All round performance by Manav Mehta guided Singh Challenger Cricket Club Akhnoor outplays Shiva Cricket Club by 46 runs and entered into the semis of the ongoing 1st Happy Memorial Cricket Tournament, being played at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor.
Batting first, Singh Challenger Cricket Club Akhnoor scored 201 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Amit Rajput was top scorer with 43 runs, while Stiphen Sotra contributed with 42 runs, Manav Mehta scored 32 runs and Pankaj Kumar made 29 runs.
From Shiva Cricket Club, Anil clinched 2 wickets, while Ricky, Sahil Sudan and Kannu shared 1wicket each.
In reply, Shiva Cricket Club scored 156 runs by losing all the wickets in 18.4 overs. Kavi made 27 runs, while Arush Chandan scored 26 runs and Sahil Sudan made 23 runs.
From Singh Challenger Cricket Club, Manav Mehta scalped 3 wickets, while Stiphen Sotra, Sny Mahi, Nikhil Jamwal and Lucky Mehta shared 1 wicket apiece.
Manav Mehta was awarded as Man of the Match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Vikas Bali and Sumit Rajput as umpires, while Basu and Rohit maintained the scoreboard.
Earlier, Rajeev Sharma ex-MLA Akhnoor inaugurated the tournament as a chief guest, while Surinder Sharma president MC Akhnoor was guest of honor.
The Tournament is being organized by Ravi Verma and Aryan Gupta under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh General Secretary JKCA District Jammu.
