REASI, Jan 5: MA Stadium XI clinched the Shaheed Kamal Kishore Memorial Kabaddi tournament, organized by senior players, Mukesh Kumar Sharma and Rakesh Kumar at Sports Stadium, here.
In the final, MA Stadium XI defeated R S Pura Jammu by 16-11 in the final. In total, nine teams took part in this competition on knock-out basis.
The winners presented with Rs 5100 cash prize while runners-up, R S Pura received a cash prize of Rs 3100.
The title trophy and prize money presented to the winners and runners-up teams by former Joint Secretary of J&K Sports Council and president of the J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, who was chief guest.
Also present were parents and family members of Kamal Kishore as also prominent citizen, Bhawani Singh.
Speaking to the gathering, Shiv Kumar appreciated the efforts on part of the organisers, Mukesh Kumar and Rakesh Kumar and paid tributes to Shaheed Kamal Kishore.
The competition was officiated by the technical penal including Sudesh Raina (NIS coach), Rakesh Kumar Salman, Gourav, Ram Kumar, Arun, Goutam Kundal, Razaq and Mahavishav.
