LEH, Sept 22: Ladakh Scout Regiment Centre (LSRC) registered 2-0 goals win over Animal Husbandry team and won the polo match, which was organized as a part of Ladakh Festival at historic polo ground, here today.
On the occasion, Minister for Tribal Affairs, Government of India Jual O Ram was the chief guest, whileas Dr Munching Bhutia was the guest of honour. Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Leh Dr Sonam Dawa Lonpo, Secretary Tourism Farooq Ahmad Shah, Executive Councilors Agriculture Tsering Wangdus, Executive Councilor Animal Husbandry Mumtaz Hussain and Deputy Commissioner, Leh Prasanna Ramaswamy G were also present.
Besides, stalls of traditional handicrafts and handlooms of Ladakh, traditional local food stalls of Ama Tsogspas, clay pots of Likir village, stall of CIBS showcasing Thanka and Statue making were also displayed for tourist and public at sports stadium.
Earlier in the morning, a monastic mask performance ‘Chhams’ was also presented by the monks of Lamayuru Monastery at Chowkhang Vihara. Age old thangkas were also on display at the Hall of Chowkhang Vihara.
A good number of foreign and domestic tourists witnessed the exhibition and Polo match.
