UDHAMPUR, Dec 7: Little Flower Convent High School, Udhampur celebrated its Annual Day with great fanfare and enthusiasm, here today.
Surat Singh, ADC, Udhampur was the chief guest while Lt Col E A. Johnson, Camp Commander, Northern Command was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Rev Fr Soosi Nathan, Chancellor, Jammu-Srinagar Diocese, in his address appealed the parents to inculcate high moral values among the students. He said that the Management and Staff of the school besides giving academic teachings is trying to develop discipline and moral values in the young generation.
Rev Fr Amla Singh, Manager, Little Flower Convent High School welcomed the guests as well as the parents and threw light on the upcoming of the school in the last 20 years.
Sr Prasantha, Principal, Little Flower convent School, read the Annual Report and highlighted the achievements of the School in last year.
A cultural programme was presented by the students which started with prayer and welcome dance. Special skits were also staged on social issues like child labour, female foeticide and corruption which were highly admired by the audience. The chief guest gave away awards to the students who excelled in various academic and various co-curricular activities.
Former Managers of Little Flower Convent High School, Rev Fr Bijoy Mathews, Rev Fr Jose John and Rev Fr Stalin Raj also graced the occasion. The function was also attended by Rev . Fathers, sisters and other distinguished guests.
