AKHNOOR, Nov 10: Little Flower School Akhnoor defeated NCC Akhnoor by 5 wickets to move into the next round of the ongoing 7th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club, under the supervision of Sham Singh Langeh its president at Govt Higher Secondary School, here.
Earlier, batting first, NCC Akhnoor scored a decent total of 182 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Arush and Rinku scord magnificent half-centuries, scoring 54 and 50 runs respectively, while Ballu and Tannu contributed 24 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For Little Flower, Rajinder took 2 wickets, while Rahul, Nadeem and Vinay claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Little Flower scored 183 runs easily by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Nadeem was the top scorer with 50 runs, while Rahul, Vinay and Sagar contributed valuable 44, 34 and 25 runs to the total respectively. For NCC Akhnoor, Tannu took 2 wickets, while Rinku claimed one.
The match was officiated by Dayal Singh and Sham Singh Langeh as umpires, while Ashu Mangotra was the scorer.
