JAMMU, Feb 26: J&K Bank is pleased to mark a significant achievement in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) collaboration with Live For Others – Being Helpful Foundation. Under the banner of “Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads),” the initiative focuses on promoting menstrual hygiene awareness, involving the distribution of 500,000 sanitary napkins and conducting more than 100 awareness seminars.
Across all 20 districts of Jammu & Kashmir, the project aim to reach more than 50,000 individuals, breaking taboos related to menstruation. Jammu, the 17th district to complete this mission, witnessed the distribution of over 37,000 sanitary napkins and the delivery of 11 impactful awareness lectures, reaching more than 4340 people.
The seminars were conducted in various government and private schools including Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Jhiri, Jammu, Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Domana; Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Nagrota, Jammu, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Dansal, Jammu; Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Akhnoor; Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor ; Govt. Higher Secondary School, Jourian. Community sessions were also organised in Krishna Nagar, Jammu Slum, Bahu Fort, Jammu, Community Hall, Panj Garian, Nagrota, Jammu, Qasim nagar, Jammu.
Jyoti, Stuti, Aparna, Babita and Navya served as the resource persons for these seminars. “We are excited about the progress of ‘Mission R-SAP’ and its positive impact on women’s health. Our team eagerly looks forward to conclude the initiative in remaining districts of J&K,” said Vivek Parihar, Director & CEO of LFO-BHF.
