Inter Panchayat/Block Level Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Jan 20: Laxmi Cricket Club defeated Christian Sports XI by 8 wickets to advance in the ongoing Inter-Panchayat/Block Level Cricket Tournament, being played at Parade Ground, here.
The tournament is being organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council.
Almost all the block teams of District Jammu are taking part in this mega event.
The Tournament is being organised under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services & Sports J&K.
Sukhdev Raj Sharma is the Organising Secretary of the tournament.
Earlier, batting first, Christian Club scored a modest total of 111 runs in the stipulated overs, while in reply, Laxmi Club chased the target easily by losing 2 wickets to win the match by 8 wickets. Veteran off-spinner, Sameer Khajuria was the pick of the bowlers who captured 4 important wickets, which fetched him man of the match.
