JAMMU, Aug 31: Inter School Hindi extempore competition was held at Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi, under the aegis of Youth Talent Search, a forum of schools of Jammu, here. Large number of students from 10 reputed schools of Jammu participated in this competition.
The competition began with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by Maa Saraswati Vandana by the students.
Koushal Gupta, Vice-Principal Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Mubarak Mandi judged the performance of the participating students.
Bhavesh Singh Jaral of Humanity Public School bagged the first prize, Cherry Sodhi and Prachi of Alexander Memorial School & Humanity Public School respectively shared the second prize, while Nandita Sharma & Tejasvi Raina of SD Tara Puri School & Lawrence Public School, Sidhra respectively won the third prize.
Prizes were presented to the winners by the host school’s Founder Principal, Shakuntla Joshi.
In her address, Shakuntla Joshi highlighted the importance of developing this essential skill of speaking extemporaneously in children, benefiting them in their student as well as future professional life.
Shivani Joshi presented the vote of thanks and congratulated the students for excellent performances.
