JAMMU, May 24: Sports Authority of India Training Centre Jammu organised Annual sports kit distribution function at M A Stadium, here today.
Avny Lavasa Deputy Commissioner Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who presented kits to the young sportspersons.
At the outset, Nadeem Ahmad Dar, Deputy Director STC Jammu welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries and presented a detailed report about the activities and achievements of STC in recent past, besides spoke about the future plans in expanding the coaching facilities offered by Sports Authority of India Training Centre Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Avny Lavasa congratulated the Deputy Director STC Jammu and his entire team for the results achieved in recent past and expressed her delight to be part of the event.
She expressed her views to all the athletes and encouraged them to take part actively in sports activities keeping in view its scope and one can pursue his/her career in sports.
She also interacted with the female trainees of the Centre. She assured all possible help from her good office in upliftment of facilities for STC Jammu. Among others present were Dr SM Bali, Ashok Singh Divisional Sports Officer Jammu, S P Singh Manager M A Stadium, coaches and staff of STC Jammu.
