KATRA, May 29: 5th annual Sarna Kesari dangal was organized by Sarna Dangal Committee at Sarna in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sarpanch Onkar Singh, here today.
Forty nine bouts were played in the event.
The first main bout was fought between Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu and Nisar Ahmed of Doda, which was won by Lallu after fighting for 23 minutes. Lallu was awarded with cash prize of Rs 5,000, while runner-up wrestler Nisar Rs 3,000 by the chief guest, Shiv Kumar Sharma, treasurer of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Sarpanch Onkar Singh and Naib Sarpanch, Som Raj.
Vijay Kumar, Uttam Singh, Akshay Kapoor and Mustaq Ahmed were the guests of honour on the occasion.
