JAMMU, Jan 10: Lalitagitya Sports Club registered a win over Narayana Life Saviours in the ongoing ‘New Year T20 Cricket League’ organised at KC Sports Ground, here today.
Batting first, Lalitagitya Sports Club scored 157 runs for the loss of all wickets in the allotted 18 overs. Deepak made 35 runs, Dheeraj scored 26 runs and Vinod Gupta contributed 21 runs. From the bowling side, Verinder and Prince took 3 wickets each, while Imran took 2 wickets and Satish and Atul bagged 1 wicket each.
In reply, Naryana Life Saviours managed to score 110 runs by losing 8 wickets in 18 overs and thus lost the match by 47 runs. Akash scored 18 runs, while Arzoo and Sunil contributed 16 and 15 runs respectively. From the bowling side, Jalla and Dalip took 3 wickets each, while Rohit and Vinod took 1 each. Dalip was declared as man of the match.
The league is being jointly organized by Veterans Cricket J&K and KC Sports Club Jammu, supported by J&K Police with a slogan “Lets Pledge to Make Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir”.
